All-District 4-AAA Team
In this article:
The 4-AAA District features most of the top players in Knoxville, Tennessee. AAU Directors scour this region for starters and more than a handful of 4-AAA players are destined for college basketball.
The 2018-2019 District 4-AAA Co-MVP’s are Ques Glover (Bearden) and Joe Anderson (Maryville).
A month ago the 2020 player rankings endured a polish and refurbishing. They are going to need another deep cleanse because Joe Anderson is currently #32 in the Class of 2020. Akeem Odusipe landed #5. And Akeem might still pan out to be a D1 prospect. Joe is just much too low on our rankings.
Ques Glover of Bearden is consistently undervalued by college recruiters while being consistently tortuous to high school defenses. Glover’s ferocity with the basketball is unmatched in the state. There are four guards more highly rated, but District Coach of the Year Jeremy Parrott surely wouldn’t trade Ques away for any of them.
Damion Baugh, K.J. Johnson, Deonvaunta Williams, and Antonio Thomas will all wind up as Division 1 players. Ques will too. In high school basketball, Ques and K.J. are probably the most individually dominant.
When great young guards pop up in conversation freshman are rarely discussed here. That has to change. Brian “B.J.” Edwards planted his feet firmly in the All-District concrete. His imprint will age well. Expect Edwards to challenge for MVP as soon as next season. The Class of 2022 scorer is special.
