Trey Phipps 2020 Booker T. Washington
It was on the second night of a back to back and clearly, the legs were not there for the Hornets. Phipps found a way with his jumper to give his team a big boost. The talents of Phipps three-point shooting is well documented as he is one of the best in Oklahoma. Saturday Phipps did a good job of taking good shots leading to a high percentage from deep.
Davon Richardson 2020 Sand Springs Wing
In a game that did not feature a ton of scoring Richardson came up huge with clutch shooting from mid and three-point range. The improvement of being able to create his own shot at times has done a lot for his game. Richardson is playing himself into a NCAA Division I scholarship.
David Buskirk 2019 Regent Prep Wing
It was not a great scoring game for Regent Prep as a team. However, Buskirk came up huge with several clutch jumpers down the stretch to close the lead. He continues to show his value as he can handle it and shoot the rock consistently when given good looks at the basket.
Jaylen Oliver 2019 Bartlesville Guard
Oliver had a nice showing shooting the ball well from behind the arc. When the final buzzer sounded Oliver had three three-pointers on the scorecard. When he gets an open look at the basket he does a nice job of making opponents pay.
Seth Pomeroy 2019 Owasso Point Guard
Pomeroy is most known for the way he runs the show at the Point Guard spot. Today, however, Pomeroy made sure everyone was aware of his shooting talents. The quickness of Pomeroy off the dribble got him open from deep. Defenders often underestimate the fast burst of Pomeroy leaving him open for good looks at the basket.
Lodi Combs 2020 Edison guard
Lodi Combs came out swinging on Saturday against Tulsa Memorial. His most memorable shooting bout came in the second quarter when he pulled a deep 3 and sank it. . . and then hit another one from the same spot a minute later. He led Edison with 15 points in a close match with the best team in 5A.
