Village Christian 6’10, Derrick Quansah: His improvement that he has shown over the last few years has been simply outstanding. He was very raw the first times we saw him but now has worked his way into being a legitimate D1 prospect and a very important part of the Village Christian squad. Rebounding, blocking shots, finishing inside the paint and even a few post moves are all things that you will see from him. Western Carolina recently had him on campus for a visit, he also has offers from: USC-Upstate and others.
Fayetteville Academy 6’9, Emmanuel Izunabor: Recently speaking with him, he made it very clear that he was looking to remain in the state of NC for college. Schools such as High Point, Elon, NC A&T all should be throwing their hats in for his services as he is a MM type of prospect. He rebounds and blocks shots at a high rate, has spent plenty of time in the weight room getting his body right and has worked on his craft on the court. He still has plenty of upside left to him as he has only been playing for a few years, so the right college program to help him develop more is key.
Hendersonville HS 6’9, Ben Beeker: The first chance that I got to see this young man play was at the Jus Byerly Showcase last spring at Cox Mill HS. He was pretty efficient throughout the day, being a beast on the boards, finishing inside the paint and simply playing the game in a strong manner. He gets off the floor pretty quickly and does a nice job of finishing at and above the rim, has a solid frame that he uses to his benefit as well. His high school numbers are pretty impressive as he is averaging 18 Points, 13 Rebounds and 2 blocks per game.
Grace Christian 6’10, Julian Steinfield: A Euro-style pick and pop type player, he’s picked up interest from schools on just about every level. He’s another one who hasn’t been in the states for a very long time but he shows some flashes of how good he can be, especially with his ability to rebound the ball.
New Life Christian 6’7, Jalen Love: JUCO programs that are looking for some players with size should give him a call. He still has some work to do to round out his game overall but has a nice amount of upside and can possibly be one that could see a nice amount of schools on him after his JC time is done.
