Who earned the title as “the number one sophomore in the state” in our midseason rankings update? Here is the case for the three talented prospects:
K.J. Adams • 6’6″ • PF • Austin Westlake
The case for K.J. Adams is his size, skill, athleticism, and motor. The four-star forward currently held the number two spot in the previous ranking. He has a strong frame and is effective inside the paint or on the perimeter. The Austin native can be counted on to score and rebound efficiently. He is also fun to watch when he makes plays above the rim.
Harrison Ingram • 6’7″ • SF • St. Mark’s
The case for Harrison Ingram is consistent production. The point-forward is a very skilled stat-sheet stuffer who has been consistent throughout his sophomore campaign. Ingram has an old school game and is a walking triple double. His all-around play in showcase games, tournaments, and highly anticipated matchups has put him in the conversation for the top spot.
Arthur Kaluma • 6’7″ • SF • Universal Academy
Arthur Kaluma has deservingly put himself in the conversation because of his all-around production and high ceiling. He never received a chance to showcase his full capabilities on the 17U EYBL circuit with Houston Hoops. However, he has proved why he was granted that roster spot during the fall semester. He has terrific pace at the point forward spot and can impact the game in many ways without scoring double digits. His national stock will continue to rise as his I.Q. improves and his perimeter jumper becomes more consistent. Kaluma tremendously excels in the things you cannot teach.
