20) Bryce Douglas | 5’11” | Centreville (#68 Overall)
Douglas has quietly been one of Northern Virginia’s top scorers the past few seasons. He’s a combo guard with good wiggle off the bounce and the ability to knock down shots off the bounce from all three levels. He creates good space to get his shot off and is consistent from deep.
- 19) Chris Rogers | 5’11” | Blue Ridge (#65 Overall)
Rogers continues to boost his stock throughout this season and he’s showing improvements in his game and as a leader on a talented team. He’s a hard-nosed player with great leadership and work ethic and his teammates follow his intensity through it. He can make shots from deep and in the midrange, he has a tight handle and he’s a good and gutsy on ball defender.
18) Jaylin Stewart | 6’0” | Walsingham (#63 Overall)
It’s not like Stewart hasn’t been putting up numbers, the kid has scored 2,000 points in his high school career. He’s stocky and strong but he’s also quick and pretty explosive around the rim. He can create and make shots, he rebounds well for a guard and his strength allows him to wear down opponents throughout the game.
17) Loginn Norton | 5’11” | James River (#61 Overall)
A knock down shooter that can handle the rock as well, Norton is in the running for Class 6 Player of the Year and well deserved. He’s the leading scorer of a talented James River group and he does so while being their primary ball handler. His ability to shoot the rock at a high level from behind the arc is one of the main reasons he’s committed to D2 Francis-Marion in SC.
16) Bryan Phillips | 6’0” | Maury (#59 Overall)
A stocky and strong guard that plays well downhill, Phillips is a bowling ball in the lane but also has good body control and finishing ability through contact. He’s quick on both ends of the floor and has a toughness about him you can’t teach. He’s one of those guys that comes at you all game and you get no breaks.
15) David Penney | 6’0” | Middleburg (#55 Overall)
In Penney’s first year in VA he has made a big impact for Middleburg. Playing one of the toughest schedules out there Penney has consistently ran the show and been one of their go-to guys. He’s dynamic with the ball in his hands as he’s able to blow by defenders and finish at the rim or create space off the bounce and make shots.
14) Quentin James | 5’11” | Lake Braddock (#54 Overall)
A two sport star who excels on the football field as well, James is one of the biggest reasons that Lake Braddock is the highest scoring team in the state. He thrives in their up tempo system where he can shoot a lot of threes and attack in transition. He’s a big time athlete with a good skill set to accompany it.
13) Kendall Bynum | 6’0” | Western Branch (#49 Overall)
Smart, tough and winner, there isn’t much else you can ask out of your lead guard. Bynum has scored over 1,000 points and spent all four years at Branch helping build them into a contender. He’s very smooth with the rock and while he has a good handle he doesn’t need to pound it into the floor a million times to create shots for himself or others.
12) Cameron Savage | 5’10” | South Lakes (#48 Overall)
The Barton commit may lack ideal size but that doesn’t stop him from getting busy on almost everyone he plays against. Savage is lightning quick and able to get in the lane at will and he’s an athletic and strong finisher in the lane through traffic. He plays with good intensity on both sides of the ball and brings it every night he plays.
11) Levar Allen | 6’0” | John Marshall (#43 Overall)
Allen may not look like the typical point guard in high school basketball but he uses his size to his advantage to keep both defenders and ball handlers at bey. He’s surprisingly athletic for his size with good burst and explosion at the rim and while he can go score almost at will he’s a very unselfish guy that likes to get his whole team involved when he can.
