Amos Alford Jr., 6’4, G, 2020, Wichita East @amosalfordjr1
Alford is a guard with good size and length at 6’4 who plays terrific defense, blocks shots and has the ability to knock down outside shots. He has made a team-high 20 3-pointers and is third on East in scoring, averaging 10.1 points per game.
Tai Johnson, 5’9, G, 2020, Maize South @TAI_J0HNS0N
Johnson is an underrated guard who is averaging 10.4 points per game for a balanced Maize South team that is off to a 9-3 start this season. Johnson is quick off the bounce and can finish tough chances at the rim and can be very effective at creating opportunities for others.
Zion Jones, 6’0, G, 2020, Wichita Northwest @zion_jones1
Jones is a terrific lead guard who handles it well, creates offense for himself and others and can knock down outside shots. He is a tough defender who gets his hands in passing lanes and disrupts opposing ball handlers. He is leading Northwest in scoring at 10.3 points while adding 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
Ethan Stewart, 6’0, G, 2020, Eisenhower
Stewart is a standout perimeter shooter who has attempted 86 3-pointers through the Tigers first 11 games of the season and is averaging 9.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He has a strong frame and does a good job defending on the perimeter where he can get physical with opponents.
Tre Washington, 5’10, G, 2020, Derby @Trewashington22
Washington is also a football standout who brings terrific speed, quickness and athleticism to the hardwood and has shown the ability to knock down outside shots, score buckets and lock up opposing players. He is averaging 12.5 points and leads Derby with 21 3-pointers while shooting 45 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
