Donald Bobbitt, 6’0, G, 2019, Wichita Heights @donald_bobbitt
A talented guard, Bobbitt has found his role for a deep and well-rounded Wichita Heights team, playing tough, hard nosed defense and serving as a player who can lock up opposing guards. Bobbitt is averaging 5.6 points, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field, but the numbers bely the impact his has had for his team as he has earned a captain title for his leadership and hard work attitude.
Danair Dempsey, 6’6, PF/C, 2021, Wichita Heights
Dempsey has tremendous length, the ability to play much bigger than his listed height and a lot of versatility as a defender. He gets a lot of garbage baskets in the paint at the offensive end, finishing along the baseline and grabbing offensive boards, and as a defender, he blocks shots in the paint and moves his feet on the perimeter. He has a lot of upside and enters the upcoming season as one of the better players in the 2021 class.
Clayton Hood, 6’0, G, 2019, Derby @clayton_hood
A high-energy guard who prides himself on his defensive abilities, Hood is a standout shooter from distance and is coming off a strong summer competing for Kansas MTXE. He has a strong, physical frame and brings the ability to rebound and defend as well. Hood can handle it a little and utilizes a head fake to free himself for a one-dribble pull-up jumpers. Hood has emerged this season as Derby’s leading scorer, averaging 12.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game.
Jaden Okon, 6’4, G, 2019, Wichita Heights @OkonTB21
Okon is a high flying athletes capable of playing above the rim at both ends of the floor. He can handle the ball a little, shoots it well from the outside and can defend multiple positions. He is coming off a strong offseason running with NLHA where he drew interest from a host of Division II programs. Okon is averaging 9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game for a Heights team that is off to a 12-2 start this season.
Cody Stufflebeam, 6’4, 2020, F, McPherson @Cstuffs_4
Also a standout football prospect, Stufflebeam is an underrated hooper who brings versatility, toughness and the ability to impact a game in multiple ways.
