Jake Alexander, 6’5, G/F, 2019, McPherson @AlexanderJake13
Alexander has put together a huge season helping lead the Bullpups this season, including a 37 point performance earlier in January. He is an athletic wing player who has terrific size, is strong and plays above the rim, able to throw down dunks, get to the basket off the bounce and plays strong defense. Alexander can create some offense off the bounce and is a terrific outside shooter as well.
Cevin Clark, 5’11, G, 2019, Arkansas City @ClarkCevin
Clark is making a case for himself as the state’s Player of the Year as he has helped lead the Bulldogs to a 10-1 record as he is averaging more than 31 points per game. Clark has three 40-point games this season, is shooting 56 percent from the field and has made 25 3-pointers, shooting 45 percent from behind the arc. Clark is known for his outside shooting, but has emerged as a well-rounded player capable of leading a team at the point, creating offense off the bounce and making plays for himself and others. In addition to averaging more than 31 points, he is adding 5.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game as well.
Caleb Grill, 6’3, G, 2019, Maize @caleb_grill0
With Maize putting together a 12-0 season, Grill has emerged as a Player of the Year candidate, averaging 19 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 47 percent from the field. Grill can play either guard spot, is a terrific spot up shooter or is capable of creating his own shot off the bounce, and has the ability to play above the rim at both ends of the floor. This summer, Grill committed to South Dakota State over several other suitors ending his recruitment early in favor of the Jack Rabbits.
Kael Kordonowy, 6’6, PF, 2019, Maize South @KaelKordonowy
Kordonowy is putting together a monster senior season as he is impacting games at both ends of the floor, showing the ability to score in the paint, haul in tough rebounds and block shots at the defensive end of the floor. Although he is listed at 6’6, Kordonowy has a long, rangy frame, a lot of bounce in his step and holds his ground as a defender in the paint. He is averaging 17.9 ponts, 13.6 rebounds and 3.4 blocked shots per game while shooting 61 percent from the field.
Keenan Miller, 6’4, G/F, 2019, Wichita South
Miller is putting together a huge season for South and has emerged as one of Wichita’s premier players. He has terrific size, length and athleticism and combines good physical attributes with the ability to do a lot of things at a high level. He handles it well and can create his own shot off the dribble, gets to the basket and finishes tough chances in traffic, and has the tools to be a lockdown defender. Miller is coming off a strong offseason competing for River City Hoops and has seen that success translate this season for South as he is averaging 21.5 points and six rebounds per game while shooting 57 percent from the field.
