Region 1:
Davis has a second chance at Fremont. In their 1st game this season Fremont was able to handle Davis. This next game on Friday has a lot riding on the line. The 2nd place team in Region 1 will play the # 3 seed in Region 4 which could be Lone Peak in round one. Which is a team you do not want to face in round 1. Ballor Harrop and Dallin Hall have been crazy good, but Jake Sampson and Tyson Garff have been playing just as well.
Region 2
Cyprus will play Hillcrest. Both of these teams are battling for 2nd place. What’s on the line is a game against Herriman or Riverton. Could be tough either way.
Region 3
Copper Hills will put it on the line against Riverton. Both teams will likely be undefeated when they meet up. Parker Applegate has been playing really well. Stopping Trevon Allfrey is going to be tough.
Region 4
The biggest game in the state will be PG vs. AF this Friday. Issac Johnson will play against AAU teammate Matt Van Komen. If PG can hit those 3’s it could be interesting.
Region 5
The 3 OT rematch between Woods Cross and Farmington will be a great game. It could go either way. Both teams are evenly matched and know each other well.
Region 6
Highland will now play for it’s playoff lives. They are almost in a must win situation going forward. It will be interesting to see what style of ball they play with going forward.
Region 7
The Wild Wild Region 7 It is highly recommended that teams avoid playing Skyridge or Timpanogos in the 1st round. Timpview has a tough game against a rejuvenated Alta program. This game could determine seeding.
Region 8
Wasatch will play Timpanogos which could turn into a crucial game as they are both tied in 2nd place
Region 9
In a tough region every game matters but Hurricane who struggled to start the season will look to be more consistent and hang on to the 3 spot to avoid Orem in the 1st rd.
Region 10
Lehi vs. Salem Hills should be an interesting game. Salem has some big kids but Lehi is shooting the ball well. Could get interesting.
Region 11
Tooele, Bonneville and Stansbury are all tied for 2nd place. Things could get interesting in Region 11 as they’re paired up with a tough Region 12.
Region 12
Whoever plays the best in the 2nd half of region will win out. Sky View has the ability to make it happen.
