Week Nine Top Peformers:
Jalen Sullinger (5’9 / G 2021 / Thomas Worthington):
Jalen Sullinger is the next big thing in the Sullinger blood line. On Saturday, in the Jared Sullinger Classic Jalen had quite the fame. However, it was a loss, but Jalen put up a big 26 points against Northland. A very good scorer for his size, the sophomore has no problem getting to the hoop. Also, the big 26 point outing was enough for Kent State to pull the trigger and offer the young Sullinger. His first of many offers to come.
Nick Nakasian (6’4 / WF 2019 / Olentangy Liberty):
D3 Carnegie Mellon received a good one they got a commitment from the Olentangy Liberty Senior. The 6’4 Nakasian played well in a great win over Pickerington North. Going for 23 points, the senior attacked the rim with force, on a couple powerful dunks. Nakasian is a great compliment player to Ben Roderick, a player that helps take the pressure off Liberty’s Star. But, the D3 commit also was a factor on the boards, also, creating for his teammates. A well deserved recognition, after a solid outing.
Jeremiah Keene (6’1 / G 2019 / Westerville North):
Jeremiah Keene can go off for a bit game at any time, and that’s exactly what he did against Bishop Hartley on Saturday. The unsigned Senior went for 23 points in the win for Westerville North. A scorer from all levels and a threat to get out and run in the open court. Also, 15 of his points coming after halftime, the stud guard was right there when his squad needed him. However, you can bet that the D1 prospect has a strong finish to his last go around.
Morgan Safford (6’4 / WG 2019 / Bishop Hartley):
Morgan Safford is just an all around bucket. The big-time Stafford was a force, going for 26 points in a tough loss to Westerville North Saturday. However, the unsigned Senior is one of the toughest scorers around. Recoding a host of three-pointers, the Hartley guard also got inside. Also, Morgan Safford is a player that many low-major D1 programs with a scholarship open, should key in on.
Nakhi Taylor (6’0 / G 2019 / Groveport):
In a big time upset victory over then 14-0 Canal Winchester, Nakhi Taylor led the way. But, coming into the game averaging a little over 12 points, Taylor went for a big game. However, putting in 26 points, the Senior scorched Canal Winchester, and they had no answer for him. But, a really good win for Groveport, and Taylor was a big time reason.
