Right now, teams are racing for the right to host the area tournament. On Tuesday, we saw some clutch performances from athletes across the state. Every team is going to need someone to step up on a nightly basis.
Jayden Stone (Sacred Heart): Stone continues to be one the state’s best and the leader of his team. Last night, Stone showed up with a big time triple double (16-13-10). Jayden also set the tone defensively with 4 steals.
Kam Woods (Pinson Valley): Kam continues to put on a show every time he hits the floor. The electric point guard finished with 33-4-4. Woods was also honored for passing the 2,000 point mark.
Nathan Moore (Huntsville): Moore is one the most underrated bigs in the state. Moore finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Nathan also continues to be one of the best rim protectors as well (5 blocks).
Miles Clay (Kingwood Christian): Clay was a critical player in Kingwood’s win over Evangel last night. Miles was tough to keep off the glass and finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Wren Cole (Danville): The 2020 guard lead his team to a 56-49 win over Priceville. Cole has been consistent on a nightly basis. Last night, Cole finished with 21-7-2.
Jeremiah Littlepage (McAdory): Littlepage impresses, because he impacts the game without scoring big numbers. In a 48-45 win over Shades Valley, Jeremiah had 11-10-3. He also added 4 blocks.
Jadakiss Anderson (Greenville): Jadakiss has been on fire from behind the arc. Last night, Anderson finished 18 points (4 threes). Anderson is becoming one of the best shooters in the 2020 class.
Luke Couch (Vestavia Hills): Couch will play a big role in the rebel’s success this season. In the win over Hewitt, Luke finished with 26 points and 5 rebounds. This won’t be the last time Couch is mentioned.
