Tuesday Night Top Five
In this article:
Games all around the state. Top teams are defending their section spot, place in the conference, and yeah, trying to maintain their status as one of the best. Who wins? Who leads the way? NHR breaks it down quickly before tip!
Totino Grace at Osseo. Both teams sit at 6-4 and both teams need a win. It’s Coach Theisen and Coach Carroll. The veteran against a top up and coming coach. A ton of new players on the floor with top young stars on Cornell Richardson and Devin Burger. With Eric Krieger of TG and Terrence Waits of Osseo being seniors coming out of nowhere to have big years. Eagles get the win getting them around a big corner.
Eastview at Prior Lake. The Lakers are what the Lightning want to be next year. Prior Lake has numerous top seniors combining with Dawson Garcia to be the best in the state. Eastview is full of juniors with a star in Steven Crowl so you can see similar things, Prior Lake is just a year ahead in experience. But ask Chaska and Minneapolis North, Eastview can get you now. Crowl has a chance to make a statement vs Garcia and Robert Jones.
Park of Cottage Grove at East Ridge. The Raptors have moved to the second spot in the state. They were number one, fell, and have climbed back up to the second spot. Coaches from Nebraska and Iowa will be at this game to get a look at Kendall Brown and Ben Carlson. What they also may see is Dominek Block of Park and his 23 points per game. Park is 6-6 having won four in a row, but tonight the local rival will win (East Ridge).
Fergus Falls at Sartell. The Otters were a top ten squad coming into the year and against their tough schedule they are 7-5. Sartell is ranked in Class AAA and if Fergus Falls wants to get back in the top ten they need to win this game. If Sartell is a ranked level team, they need to win this game. Matt Johnson and Thomas Gieske lead these teams with big numbers and tonight we will see which team is better. I’m picking Sartell!
Cambridge at Princeton. Are the Bluejackets the team that is going to cut into the Princeton schedule and be the first team to win? Henry Abraham is scoring 25 points a night and have become a balanced team with London Williams and Luke Malamisuro putting together strong seasons. But do the Tigers have a beast inside to deal with Jon Stimmler? And then these is James Flicek’s attack the shooters on all sides. Princeton wins.
