Top Uncommitted Seniors:
Ben Roderick (6’5 / W / Olentangy Liberty): Holds offers from Akron, Toledo, Ohio and more, Roderick is probably the top recruit left in the area. Without the horrible injury he suffered his junior season, the Patriot star would be farther along in the recruitment. With high majors still holding interest, look for Ben Roderick’s recruitment to go down to the end. Averaging a stellar 30 PPG, any college who gains a pledge from the lefty will be getting a dangerous scorer. Having killed it this season, including a 51 point outburst. With solid length, you’re getting a inside-outside scorer and a team leader. Area D1s should be all over the stud wing.
Javohn Garcia (6’3 / G / Pickerington Central): Garcia has done a great job picking up where Jeremiah Francis left off after his injury. Putting up 18 points per game on the season, and a solid on-ball creator for the undefeated Pick Central team. A tough guard all around, is one of the very best left in the state. With multiple division one offers already, don’t be surprised if some programs get involved late.
Deeek Van Vlerah (6’5 / W / Dublin Coffman): A solid division two priority at the next level, Van Vlerah holds a nice offer from Nova Southeastern, West Liberty and others. Not a scorer who fills it up often, but does a solid job when it’s needed. The ability to score from outside or cutting to the basket. The lengthy Coffman Senior possesses the specs to be a solid defender. Can also handle the ball a bit and create for teammates, it’ll be interesting to see which college lands Derek.
More Uncommitted Seniors:
Jeremiah Keene (6’1 / G / Westerville North): Another scoring guard in the OCC. Keene can play the one or two on the court. A quality 20 a game scorer for the Westerville North team. On the offensive side the 6’1 guard gets it done from all levels, with a good handle to the game. But With four offers on his resume, other area division one programs should reach out toward the end of the cycle.
Garrett Denbow (6’5 / WF / Ashland): Another bigger framed three that gets it done on both ends. Holds a division two offer and quite a bit of interest. I actually believe Garrett Denbow could fit in at a low-major D1 program over four years. A high-teen scorer most of the season. Also, ability to score off the dribble and catch and shoot are solid intangibles to his game. A player that found a solid way of getting teammates involved when I’ve watched him. If you’re a low-major division one program with a need for a wing, I would check in on the Ashland standout.
Terin Kinsway (6’5 / W/F / Delaware Hayes): Terin Kinsway can play the three or four with productivity. A big framed 6’5 Hayes Senior has the traits to be a force on defense with his size. Averaged 15 a game for the Pacers at the halfway mark, gets it done inside at a high chip. However, showed me the ability to hit the corner three at a good rate against Hilliard Bradley. Terin Kinsway is physically one of the more imposing players in Central Ohio. Division Two programs should take notice before it’s to late.
