The season is coming to a close for some players, but for others the year is just getting started. Take a look at Thursday’s best.
Kam Woods (Pinson Valley): Woods continues to put on an offensive show every time he hits the court. He dazzles fans with his shooting and nifty moves. Against Center Point, Kam finished with 36 points and 5 assists. Woods was also 5/6 from three.
Austin Harvell (East Limestone): Harvell is one of the states best players at impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Austin never forces the issue. Against rival West Limestone, Harvell was 7/12 from field for 19 points. He also posted 8 boards, 4 bocks, 2 assists, and a steal.
GaQuincy McKinstry (Pinson Valley): McKinstry is turning into a star. Kool-Aid is super athletic and the perfect compliment to Woods. Against Center Point, McKinstry finished with 20 points, 4 assists, and he was disruptive defensively with 5 steals.
Dayon Bryant (Clay-Chalkville): In a grind out win vs Gardendale, Bryant was the standout for the Cougars. Dayon made the right plays and was a tough defender all night. Bryant finished with 18.
Tyson Garth (R.A. Hubbard): Garth had a solid performance against East Lawrence. Tyson did it all for his team. Garth finished with 17-7-6
Giancarlo Valdez (Decatur Heritage): Valdez has been one of the best players for Decatur Heritage all year. He impacts the game without scoring big numbers. Valdez finished with 10 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals against Falkville.
