Every opportunity on the court is an opportunity to show up and show out. This article takes a look at the best performances from the weekend.
Jayden Stone (Sacred Heart): In a win against 3A top 10 Prattville Christian, Stone lead his team with 23-12-6. Jayden was the best player on the court, and he always lets his play do the talking.
Cornelius Wright (Stanhope Elmore): Wright put up a big time performance against Wetumpka. Wright showed off his athletic ability and scored at every level. Cornelius finished with 26-12-4.
Martavious Russell (Sipsey Valley): Russell is one of the best freshmen in the state. He oozes potential and already is one of the better athletes in his class. In a win over Demopolis, Russell finished with 15 points and 11 boards.
Trendon Watford (Mountain Brook): Watford made headlines for taking his official visit to Alabama this weekend, but Friday night Watford put on a show. Trendon finished with 30 and 17 against Hoover. Watford continues to show people that he is the state’s best player.
Austin Kelley (Pleasant Home): Kelley has been on fire to start the new year. Austin is a skilled big and would be a great system fit. Kelley recently posted 30-15-4.
Brandon Green (Phillips): Green has been a man on a mission. The 2021 guard has torched teams from all over the court. Green recently posted 28-6-6, and he impacted the game defensively with 5 steals.
