Is there anything better than basketball on the weekends? The answer is no. Players that are serious about their game love every moment of being on the hardwood. Every opportunity on the court is an opportunity to show up and show out. This article takes a look at the best performances from the weekend.


Jayden Stone (Sacred Heart): In a win against 3A top 10 Prattville Christian, Stone lead his team with 23-12-6. Jayden was the best player on the court, and he always lets his play do the talking. 

Cornelius Wright (Stanhope Elmore): Wright put up a big time performance against Wetumpka. Wright showed off his athletic ability and scored at every level. Cornelius finished with 26-12-4.

Martavious Russell (Sipsey Valley): Russell is one of the best freshmen in the state. He oozes potential and already is one of the better athletes in his class. In a win over Demopolis, Russell finished with 15 points and 11 boards.

Trendon Watford (Mountain Brook): Watford made headlines for taking his official visit to Alabama this weekend, but Friday night Watford put on a show. Trendon finished with 30 and 17 against Hoover. Watford continues to show people that he is the state's best player.
