The Leader:
Matthew Hurt of Rochester JM. In the Rockets win at Albert Lea (88-67) Hurt had 43 points and 17 rebounds. And in a recent win over Mankato West Hurt had 45 points and 15 rebounds.
Top Contenders:
Zeke Nnaji of Hopkins. In recent games Zeke scored 29 and had a monster dunk to finish off the win over Minnehaha Academy, plus Zeke scored 21 in a big win over Champlin Park.
David Roddy of Breck. Last week David scored 47 and 32 points in back-to-back games on 31 of 42 shooting overall.
Tyrell Terry of DeLaSalle. Playing in the three games in the national event over the holiday event Tyrell scored 101 points in three games and then had 23 in a key win over Minneapolis North.
Tyler Wahl of Lakeville North. Tyler put up 31 points on 11 of 17 shooting, hit a pair of threes, grabbed 11 boards, dished out 10 assists, defended the opposing top players and played PG in a big win over Wayzata.
Final Five Potentials:
Jamison Battle of DeLaSalle. Battle is scoring 29 a game but has missed the last handful of games because of injury .
Courtney Brown Jr of East Ridge. Brown is scoring 16 a game on a balanced team that ranks with the best in state.
Isaac Fink of Springfield. Fink is putting up 31 a game with 13 boards and five assists a contest for a top Class A team.
