The Big Interview: Ametri Moss
Clarksville Northwest sophomore Ametri Moss escaped the @PrepHoopsTN zoom lens all summer largely because he did not play AAU. He will be ranked in the updated Class of 2021 player rankings (out mid Feb.) because he dominates pivotal games for long stretches.
Moss’ ability to score and lead his team are remarkable for any high school player and yet he is doing it as a sophomore.
What do you see as your role with the team?
I’m a point guard that leads the team and controls the game.
Can you tell me a few games you felt especially locked in personally? You felt very productive.
Almost every one I played really.
As the regular season ends and playoffs arrive, name two challenging teams that you expect to face or hope to face.
Challenging teams I faced were Northeast and CHS.
What kind of feedback do you get from your family on your basketball game this season?
Be a leader. Work hard and get it all I got.
What does the head coach ask or guide you to do more of? To do better?
Leadership and bring energy to the table and get teammates involved.
Can you take a step back and tell me what skills you improved significantly in the last six months?
Most definitely. My shot, but everything else been there. Yeah, everything is getting better day by day.
