St. Marks has been playing really good basketball lately this season. Friday night against Heritage Christian Athletics, St. Marks was unconscious behind three point line, hitting 31 three pointers as a team. There were multiple players who stood out for the St Mark’s Lions. Andrew Laczkowski, Harrison Ingram, Colin Smith and Noah Shelby all finished with double digits in the 112-71 win. HCA may have lost by 41 points, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have talented prospects as well. 2020 Isaiah Jones and 2020 Isaac Stolzenberg went down swinging in the losing effort. The two backcourt mates showed a lot of skill on the offensive end that caught my attention.
St. Marks Players of The Game
Harrison Ingram / 6’7” / Forward / St. Marks / 2020
Ingram is a player with many talents on the basketball court. He’s very versatile on the offensive end and plays the game with so much wisdom. Ingram filled up the stat sheet for St. Marks by scoring double digits, grabbing multiple rebounds and dishing out several assists.
Colin Smith / 6’7” / Forward / St. Marks / 2022
Smith is a young talented prospect with perfect size for position. Smith is athletic and possesses nice skill to go a long with his height. Smith needs to continue to work on his decision making and becoming a more consistent jump shooter. Smith has a chance to be in discussion for five star status for his class if he puts it all together.
Andrew Laczkowski / 6’6” / Forward / St. Marks / 2022
Laczkowski has been playing very well this high school season for St. Marks. Laczkowski recently picked up an offer a few days ago from San Diego. Laczkowski showed off his ability to shoot it well off the catch and his capabilities to bring the ball up as a secondary ball handler.
Noah Shelby / 6’1” / Guard / St. Marks / 2022
Shelby has the ability to light it up from deep when left open. The Freshman Guard is looking like one of the best shooters in the state for his class.
HCA Players Of The Game
Hidden Gem Alert ????
Isaiah Jones / 6’1” / Combo / HCA / 2020
Jones was a huge surprise for me and was fun to watch against St. Marks. Jones shot it well from the three point line and displayed athleticism in transition, and in the open court. Jones has a chance to crack the top 100 rankings for his class in the next upcoming player rankings.
Isaac Stolzenberg / 6ft. / Guard / HCA / 2020
Stolzenberg has good handles and plays with a good pace at the point guard position. He knocked down a couple of threes and also displayed good ability as a passer to find open teammates.
