The announcement was made Tuesday, following the six games that concluded action in the five-day event Sunday in Blake Arena at Springfield College.
Lewis scored 26 points with eight rebounds, four assists and six steals while making a strong case for being the best all-around player in the Class of 2019 during his team’s 73-63 victory over Federal Way, the top team in Washington.
The other four players selected (in order of votes received) were junior Brandon Boston (Norcross, GA), junior Sharife Cooper (Powder Springs, GA, McEachern), senior Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (Bradenton, FL, IMG Academy) and senior Keion Brooks (La Porte, IN, La Lumiere).
Lewis, Boston (PICTURED) and Cooper were on my ballot but were joined by juniors Jaden Springer (IMG Academy) and Cade Cunningham (Montverde, Fl, Academy) instead of Robinson-Earl and Brooks.
Springer and Cunningham, at about 6-4 and 6-7, respectively, join Boston as three of the best half-dozen or so point guard prospects in the Class of 2020.
