- Zeke Montgomery, Fern Creek – A transfer from North Bullitt before the season started, Montgomery has made his case as the third member of Fern Creek’s Sophomore Big 3. Averaging 12.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, Zeke makes a huge difference for his team once his motor runs consistently. When Zeke is at his best, he’s a potential top 10 player in a loaded 2021 class.
- Jared Wellman, George Rogers Clark – Wellman was a star in Lawrence County as an 8th grader before transferring to GRC last year and adjusting to being a Freshman on an upperclassmen dominant team. Now as a Sophomore, Jared is establishing himself as a top player in the 10th region. Jared is averaging 12 points and 4 rebounds for the Cardinals and could be the X factor in the 10th region tournament next month.
- Noah Dumas, McCracken County – Clearly the Mustangs’ second best player behind Jackson Sivills, Dumas is quietly having a great Sophomore season. Averaging 13 points and 3 rebounds from the point guard position, Noah is putting up solid shooting numbers and was the state leader in free throw percentage at one point this season.
- Dante Hayden, Danville – The leading scorer for a very good Danville team, Hayden has a knack for taking and making big shots for the Admirals. Putting up shooting splits of 42/40/88 is nothing to sneeze at. To reach the next level in his development, Hayden needs to become more aggressive putting the ball on the floor.
- Devin Perry, Central – Extremely underrated, Perry has made tremendous strides this season as a point guard in the always competitive 7th region. Second on the team in scoring at 12.8 PPG and posting shooting numbers of 41/40/75 while leading a Central team that is overachieving and capable of beating anyone in the 7th region on a given night.
- Q’Daryius McHenry, Grayson County – A big time two sport athlete, McHenry is leading Grayson County in both scoring and rebounding in addition to having a chance to be a really good running back and defensive back at the next level. Q is not a good shooter but uses his athletic ability to get past defenders and to the rim.
