TYMU CHENERY | EPISCOPAL ’20
Chenery started off this game on a strong note. The athletic 6-foot-5 wing slammed home an impressive dunk off two feet in transition, and swatted a shot on on the other end. Chenery shot efficiently today, hitting 2 of 5 from long range and 5 of 11 overall on his way to 14 points. He was active defensively, on the glass, in the passing lanes, and with his rim protection. He had just 1 assist to 2 turnovers, a sign that his decision making still needs improvement, but that should come with more reps.
DARIUS JOHNSON | EPISCOPAL ’21
Johnson was aggressive on both ends of the floor throughout this contest. He is adept at getting into the paint and seeks contact at the rim. Johnson did not have his best shooting night, hitting just 1 of 4 from three, but made up for it by not committing any turnovers, handing out 2 dimes, and pulling down 6 boards to go along with 2 steals.
XAVIER JOHNSON | EPISCOPAL ’19
Johnson was the best player on the court last night. The George Mason commit dominated the game with his overall feel as a scorer, competent defender, and reliable playmaker. Johnson had 6 assists to just 1 turnover and recorded a steal to go along with several deflections. He shot 5 of 8 from three, hit 9 of 13 from the foul line, and 6 of 12 overall on his way to a game-high 26 points.
ERIK REYNOLDS | BULLIS ’21
Reynolds continues to stand out defensively, but we would like to see him get up more than the 7 shot attempts he had in this game. Owning long limbs, he has good burst, anticipates well, is absolutely fearless. Reynolds once showcased good body control and the ability to finish from a variety of angles in traffic at the rim.
RODNEY RICE | BULLIS ’22
Rice shot the ball exceptionally well from the perimeter in this game. The freshman, who scored 21 efficient points, shot 4 of 7 from behind the arc and 5 of 6 from the charity stripe. Rice did have 5 assists, but committed 3 turnovers and could improve his decision making in certain situations.
NENDAH TARKE | BULLIS ’19
If Bullis won this game, Tarke would have been the MVP. With his team facing an early deficit, Tarke checked into the game and helped them gain control. The athletic lefty plays with a relentless motor, and demonstrates impressive leaping ability. Tarke has an incredible second and third jump. Owning a sturdy build, the unsigned senior a strong guard who’s good at carving out space on the block and can score with his back to the basket or face up and attack. Tarke stuffed the stat sheet in this game, recording 26 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal.
