Helping lead the Wolverines to a 12-1 record so far, Bready’s recruitment has followed suit. Not only are schools from all over the country taking notice, Bready even as Division 1 programs potentially eyeing his services.
“It feels great to see all the hard work, all the hours I put in, to pay off,” Bready told Prep Hoops Wisconsin.
LIU-Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, Canisius, Montana, Elon, Pacific, and San Francisco are all showing interest in Bready this winter.
“I have to keep working each day and continue to show progress,” he said.
At the Division 2 level, but Winona State and St. Thomas Aquinas (N.Y.) are involved with Bready. Ripon, UW-Stout, Concordia (WI), UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Whitewater are interested at the Division 3 level.
The variety of schools across all divisions has complicated Bready’s recruitment to some degree.
“It’s difficult, but my dream has always been and still is D1,” he said. “I just have to keep working.”
Bready holds no scholarship offers at this time, but does have three D3 programs at the top of his list.
“Ripon, Concordia, and Whitewater are sticking out,” he said.
One of four players averaging in double figures for West, Bready is posting 16.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound combo guard plans to play out the rest of his senior season before making a decision.
“I want somewhere I can become a better person and a better player,” he said. “It has to feel like family and like home.”
