Here are some sensational seniors that impact the game at a high level and leave lasting impressions:
Gene Cajigas: PG/ SG
Downey High School
Downey, CA
5’9″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
Gene is a competitive point guard with an ability to create space and attack the rim. His strong stature allows him to get to the rim with ease. Cajigas, has a nice jump shot and is not afraid to let the three ball fly. This senior can run a team and put points on the board. Cajigas had a season high of 27 points against Jordan, in the semi final game in the Artesia tournament.
Omar Makhlouf: F
Downey High School
Downey, CA
6’4″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
Omar a 6’4 senior is another player to watch. Coming off the bench in the Bellflower tournament against Norwalk, he put up 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists to help win the championship in the consolation bracket. He can shoot the ball well and can knock down his free throws.
Tony Hernandez: SG
Downey High School
Downey CA
6’3″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
Tony had a season-high of 17 points to help his team take the ship in the Artesia Tournament. As a senior he is poised and not afraid of the big stage. Hernandez, is not hesitant to rebound and block shots.
Tre’mond Johnson: PG/SG
Warren High School
Downey CA
6’0″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
This senior guard has the ability to create off of the dribble and muscle his way to the rack. Johnson is able to navigate off of ball screens. With a season high of 28 points against Gardena, his three point shot is efficient, along with a nice teardrop floater. A senior with a high IQ for the game and the ability to get his teammates involved. Johnson leads his team in scoring and is the go to guy for his squad.
Aaron Strings: SG
Warren High School
Downey CA
6’4″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
Aaron is a senior with the ability to create and make shots for the Warren Bears. With his length, he can rebound and taunt defenders. His mid range game is sufficient and he has no problem finishing at the rim through contact. He can also consistently take his defender off the dribble.
Yosef Dweik: SG
Warren High School
Downey CA
6’0″ Senior
Graduates in 2019
Dweik is another senior that can play the game under pressure. He has a good shooting form that could be lethal if mastered, and is an excellent on ball defender.

*Brandon Garcia 6’0” Senior (Downey) Brandon racked up a season high of 18 points against
Huntington Beach.
*Tramaine Willis 5’8” Senior (Downey) has a knack for taking charges and has taken three in a game.
against Renaissance Academy. He also is a player that will rebound.
*Jalen Lewis 6’2” Senior (Warren) is a streaky shooter that comes off the bench with high
energy and tenacity. Great at playing his role on the team.
*Nathan Guillen 5’10” Senior (Warren) is a solid backup point guard with a lot of up side.
