Cam HayesCam Hayes Takes UNC Unofficial
One of the top 2020 guards in North Carolina, Cam Hayes of Greensboro Day unofficially visited UNC on Monday to see North Carolina take on Virginia Tech. PrepHoops contributor Jake Weingarten broke the news on social media and got this quote from Hayes, “The visit was amazing. The seats were great, the atmosphere was amazing, overall it was a great experience.”
Hayes is taking another unofficial visit to Virginia Tech this weekend when Syracuse comes to Blacksburg.
Beeker Plans Unofficial Visits
2019 unsigned senior big man Ben Beeker of Hendersonville HS has scheduled two unofficial visits for this week. Tomorrow he will head to Greenville, SC and visit Furman University followed by a visit to UNC-Wilmington on Saturday. His only offer at this time is from Mars Hill College in WNC.
Phillips Gets D1 Offer
South Central HS point guard Shykeim Phillips has led South Central to a 1-loss season so far and he has been one of the focal points. Towson recently offered the 6-foot-3 point guard after watching a game.
Ellis Picks Up JUCO Offers
One of the top unsigned guards in the state, El Ellis of Quality Education (NC) has informed PrepHoopNC’s Justin Byerly he intends to go the junior college route. He picked up offers from Moberly CC, Broward CC, Colby CC and Panola CC. An issue with an English class taken at Mt. Zion (Durham) looks to be the deciding factor for Ellis as he intends to go to the JUCO route. He spent this summer playing on the Adidas circuit with Team Wall.
Smith Picks Up ECU Offer
Farmville Central HS guard Terquavion Smith already has picked up a NC State offer. ECU is the latest to pull the trigger on the sophomore.
