During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, he touched on recruitment and spoke on his goals among other topics.
PH: Are you leaning towards playing basketball or football in college?
JB: “Right now, I’m still caught in a bind. I’m just working out in both. Working hard, keeping my grades up, and keeping my options open.
PH: How are your grades?
JB: “My grades are good. My cumulative GPA is like a 3.8 right now.”
PH: Which schools have reached out to you for basketball?
JB: “UPenn, GW, Siena, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Radford, High Point, Wyoming, Boston College, Xavier.”
PH: What’s your role for the team this year?
JB: “Attacking the paint, getting shots for others, creating for myself and taking it when I have the opportunity. Of course, rebounding and defense. Locking up the opposing team’s best player.”
PH: What’s underrated about your game?
JB: “My passing and shooting.”
PH: What are you working on?
JB: “Shooting off the dribble.”
PH: What type of feedback do you receive from college coaches?
JB: “Just keep working on my shot. Stepping in, using my legs, getting arc on the ball, keep attacking the glass, and finishing strong.”
PH: What are your goals?
JB: “My goals are to play D1 basketball and football. Make it to the next level and feed my family.”
PH: There’s a good chance you could play both?
JB: “A slight chance.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
JB: “I can bring heart, tenacity, hard work, and leadership.”
