The senior leader is averaging 20.4 PPG, 10.7 RPG and 3.5 APG so far this season for the 13-6 Saints.
“My senior season at Trinity has been going great so far, we have a really young team with some seasoned veterans that understand coach (Anthony) DiGiovanni’s system well and are helping to acclimate the younger players to it,” Kabalaoui told Prep Hoops. “This season, I have vastly improved on my aggressiveness, consistency, leadership and basketball IQ. My stats have increased significantly since last year and I am consistently improving under the coaching staff.
…Most importantly with the addition of freshman Javon Bennett, the good point guard play has allowed me to expand my game and take over in the later parts of games.”
No offers have come yet for him, but he’s drawn interest from Marietta, Stevenson, Williams, Columbia, Lehigh, Embry-Riddle and Rollins.
Kabalaoui played for Team MOAM this summer and he said it was a great experience.
“It helped me improve because me and the guys on the team truly worked hard in the gym,” he said. “I played with great players and became a really good defender while also becoming more aggressive on offense. We beat some really high caliber teams which surprised a lot of people.”
The 6’7″, 220-pounder has been shooting 44 percent from 3-point land. He says playing for coach DiGiovanni has been a true learning time. DiGiovanni was an assistant for over eight years for coach Hurley at Saint Anthony’s.
Showing off his skills at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Daytona in September, Kabalaoui has continued his progression. His big body and strength helps him get the job done. Simply a reliable threat on both ends, Kabalaoui is only getting better by the day.
