My overall assumption of the talented lead guard is that he definitely is in discussion to be the top point guard in the 2020 class. Right now he is ranked 22nd overall in our 2020 national rankings while sitting as the 3rd best point guard. He can score the ball at will and that was on full display as was his ability to pass the ball to his teammates. One of the most underrated attributes that he can provide to a team at the next level is his ability to bring down rebounds. Last weekend he was the lead catalyst in helping his team hold off Findlay Prep.
“It is a game of runs, they had a little run. We just had to stop it right there where it was and don’t let it get too far ahead, Isaac was really feeling it this game. We have played together for so long so I know how and where to get it to him.”
Sharife is coming off a productive summer on the EYBL but is already looking forward to this upcoming summer.
“My summer definitely went great. Personally wise, it went great. Team wise, I did not like how we finished it but luckily I have another year to get back at it.”
His good friend and longtime teammate Isaac Okoro has committed to Bruce Pearl at Auburn and there has been talk about Cooper teaming up with Okoro in a Tigers uniform.
“If it is possible that is a great idea. That is a little factor in it but that is not a big factor. “Auburn is a real family vibe, my teammates go there, I like the way they play and I like Auburn but I remain to be open right now.”
Another SEC school is showing a lot of interest in the lead guard, “Kentucky has been coming hard, they kind of want to get it done now but I am taking it slow.”
Out west one of the more dominant Pac 12 programs is keeping tabs on the Georgia product, “Arizona has been texting a lot so it is good to hear from them.”
