TWO STARS
Cameron Paske – 2019 – PF – Lakeside Lutheran
Really like the shooting ability of Paske, especially from mid-range. Paske has a sweet touch from 12-15 feet and did a lot of damage in the second half, finding the soft spots in the defense. Paske scored 13 points in the loss, looking very consistent as a shooter. The 6-foot-7 senior had some strong spurts over the summer as well, excelling as a shooter from mid and 3-point range. A plus-length forward who can spread the floor, Paske has the potential to be a quality prospect at the small school level.
Austin Westra – 2019 – PF – DeForest
There were a couple of Division 3 programs in attendance to watch Westra and they did not leave disappointed. Westra dominated as a scorer, facilitator, and rebounder, racking up 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. Whenever Westra catches the ball near the rim, it’s already over. A strong, physical forward, Westra powered his way through defenders all night. The jump shot and ability off the dribble is also improving. Westra knocked down three triples on Monday and also showcased the ability to get to the basket off the bounce. Against two other college prospects, Westra definitely proved he’s a Plan A target at the Division 3 level.
TWO STANDOUTS
Will DeNoyer – 2019 – G – Lakeside Lutheran
DeNoyer started strong and finished stronger. The senior guard got Lakeside Lutheran settled in on the road with a nice spurt offensively and then hit a big 3-pointer along with two clutch free throws late to help the Warriors rally and tie the game. A quality small school prospect, DeNoyer shoots it well off the dribble and can create his own shot. A shifty guard with solid athleticism, DeNoyer created opportunities for himself and his teammates and a high rate. Scoring a team-high 19 points, DeNoyer broke out of a cold spell to close well late and give his team a chance.
Jack Bogan – 2019 – PF – DeForest
Bogan had 11 key points for DeForest, taking advantage of the attention Westra was receiving. Bogan has a great feel for his running mate up
front, working well off Westra and moving without the basketball to get into high percentage scoring areas. A lengthy, 6-foot-6 post, Bogan can do some things down on the block and had a great move late in the second half, which proved to be one of the game-deciding buckets for the Norskies, who opened up a six-point lead in the final two minutes. Bogan also sealed the game by picking off the final desperation heave from Lakeside Lutheran.
X-FACTOR
Trey Schroeder – 2019 – PG – DeForest
Tie game with 11 seconds left, DeForest put the ball in the hands of Schroeder. The senior guard delivered, hitting a 17-foot jumper with 2.1 seconds remaining to bring home the victory. Schroeder only had six points, but flashed some high offensive upside, getting into the paint and finishing some tough, acrobatic shots in traffic. Schroeder also had a handful of assists, getting into the paint, drawing defenders, and finding cutters for layups, or pushing the pace in transition and firing the basketball up the floor. The lefty may not always score a ton, but has a calming effect on the offense and a leadership presence for DeForest.

NOTES
– Jack Monis scored 13 points for Lakeside Lutheran. The senior forward played outstanding defense, coming up with some big blocks from the weak-side and owning the defensive glass. Monis also had some good moments defensively against Westra, particularly late in the game.
– Colby Hartig added 11 points for the Norskies.
