The 6’6″ Nesbitt is a versatile perimeter player who spent his first two seasons at Lutheran North, where he averaged close to 20 points a game last season. He made the move over to St. Louis Christian and reclassified as a 2021 during the summer, where he has continued his excellent play. He is currently averaging 17 points a game to lead the Cougars.
Just last week, Nesbitt enjoyed a big game in a 73-60 victory over Mayfield (KY) at the Grind Session Event in Paducah, KY. Nesbitt earned Most Valuable Player honors after scoring 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds to lead St. Louis Christian to the victory.
Nesbitt has received plenty of interest from many Division I schools, plus he received early offers from Ole Miss, Louisiana-Monroe and Tulane after a very productive summer.
“It was really exciting to get those early offers, especially the Ole Miss offer,” Nesbitt said. “I went to their Elite Camp and played very well, so I was really happy when they offered me on the spot. It helped my confidence a lot to get a SEC offer.”
Nesbitt’s combination of size, physical strength and guard skills make him an extremely tough player to defend when he is on his game. He has a good low-post game with a nice turnaround jumper on the baseline, but he is just at home on the perimeter with handles and his excellent mid-range jumper. He is also an excellent finisher on the drive where he finishes well through contact.
