Riemersma is an athlete with an impressive skill set. He’s an excellent shooter from behind the arc and has no limit on his range. Riemersma is a strong rebounder who really attacks the glass. He’s very athletic and uses it to get to the basket. Riemersma is a strong finisher that can play above the rim. He plays through contact, draws fouls, and gets to the line.
While Trip Riemersma is already a budding star, he is also improving at a fast rate. He is currently working on his ability to attack with a first step and creating a step back jumper. Riemersma has been in the gym working on his game and has seen the positive results. “So far this season its paid off so I gotta keep doing work,” he said.
Since he’s only a sophomore, Riemersma has plenty of goals ahead for him to accomplish. This season he wants to average 20ppg. Riemersma also monitors his hustle and tries to make sure his teammates are involved. He wants his team to focus on pushing the ball and getting easy buckets in transition. Ultimately, Riemersma is focused on going to, and playing basketball at, a Division 1 school that is a good fit for him. Off the court, he would like to own his own business someday.
Trip Riemersma has a lot to offer a program at the next level. Obviously he has an inpressive skill set, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Riemersma is a dedicated athlete who has a tremendous work ethic. He’s a great kid who is intelligent and well spoken. Riemersma is the type of young man that seeks out coaching and applies what he learns.
Riemersma’s development as a player and his subsequent recruitment will be interesting to watch over the next couple years. He’s an extremely talented kid who should be rising up the recruiting charts.
