Khalil Lewis is a smooth guard with a nice skill set. He has a nice stroke and is an efficient shooter. Lewis has a nice floater from the lane that he can flip over and hit in traffic. He’s a solid perimeter defender as well. Lewis has the ability to lock down his man.
Lewis knows that improvement is a key to success. He’s working to improve his ball handling and comfort level with his left hand. Lewis is also doing physical training to help him become more athletic and creative at the rim. He knows that increased strength will assist him in playing stronger through contact.
Khalil Lewis is a goal oriented athlete. He wants his team to continue to improve and win a district championship. Lewis wants to continue to grind and eventually earn a college basketball scholarship. He wants to play 4 years of college basketball and then take the next step to the highest level of the game. Off the court, Lewis wants to earn a bachelor’s degree and work in architecture.
Lewis is a motivated basketball player. His Dad has played a big role in his improvement and development as a player. Lewis also admires Steph Curry because of the adversity he has overcome. He sees similarities in their struggles to be successful in the game.
Khalil Lewis is a talented and athletic prospect. It will be interesting to track his development as a player over the next year. Lewis is a prospect to watch for the remainder of the high school season and in the coming grassroots season.
