The senior prospect is currently stringing together a fine senior season with the Mustangs, and it’s his ability to shoot the ball and lead his teammates that are his biggest impacts.
“I would say that I’m best as a shooter, 3-point shooting is my thing, and throughout the season, that’s been my calling card. And then I’m kind of a 3-and-D player, I also guard the best player on the other team and try and lock him down,” said Stallard.
“What’s most important is I’m a leader. I’m a co-captain of the team, I can get guys going and get the most out of my players, which I think is most important.”
With Monte Vista this season, Stallard says he’s averaging around 10 points per game. Team success, though, is his top priority.
“The most important team goal is I want us to be the best team that we can,” said Stallard. “And I want us to really have no regrets and to put everything we have on the floor.”
Another goal for Stallard is to play basketball at the next level.
“Right now I have a couple looks from D3 and NAIA schools, and I just want to make it to the next level and play basketball as long as I can,” he said.
Westmont, Vanguard, Cal Maritime and Linfield (OR) are some programs he mentioned that have reached out and shown interest.
“Basketball is my passion, it’s my love,” Stallard said. “And I want to do everything I can to keep going”
