“Last year and the year before that I wasn’t a good defender,” Wallace stated. “I couldn’t keep people in front of me.”
This season, Wallace is relied upon to defend some of the opponents best wings. At 6-foot-6, he is versatile enough to defend bigs, but his lateral quickness has improved and he has become a competent perimeter defender. Wallace’s current area’s of focus for improvement are ball handling, defensive, and shooting.
“I’m a really good shooter,” Wallace stated. “Most people don’t really know that because I just do what I gotta do to help my teammates.”
The junior wing is not shy about letting his ambitions be known. Wallace says he dreams of playing in the NBA, but his first goal is to receive his first division one offer and go to school for free.
“I’d like to do what I can to go to the league.”
What can he bring to a college program?
“I think I can bring my aggressiveness, my positive energy, and my shooting.”
