Kendall has worked hard to become of the area’s best point guards, and the Thunder go as he goes.
“When I was a freshman, I wasn’t as confident as I am now, that confidence comes from putting in work in the gym,” said Kendall. “I’m more of a scorer now, coach wants me to have the ball in my hands most of the time. I’m more of a leader now, and my stats have gone up dramatically since my freshman year.”
A true point guard with an ability to get to the rim at will, Kendall says distributing to his teammates is a top priority.
“I would say I’m a pass-first point guard, I’m probably a better driver than I am a shooter, but I can shoot the 3-ball consistently. I like to get my teammates involved,” said Kendall, who mentioned some things he’s working to improve.
“I think physically I need to get bigger and stronger ,and always continue to shoot the ball a little bit more consistently.”
When his junior season is complete, he’ll be working with Lakeshow 17U to not only improve his skill-set, but to bolster his recruitment.
Kendall says Antelope Valley, Cal State East Bay, Cal Lutheran and Chico State have been showing interest in him so far.
“I really just hope to get on the radar a little bit more with the colleges,” said Kendall. “I want to pick up an offer before my senior year, that’s the goal.”
