Wasatch Academy is 21-0 and is ranked #5 in the country. Their combination of size and athleticism is second to none. What also makes Wasatch Academy tough to beat is that they can go deep into their bench for sparks, production and additional length.
Wasatch Academy is coming of an impressive win in the opening round against Villages (FL). They looked impressive in an 85-65 win. Maddy Sisko had 21 points and Mike Saunders had 20. Minnesota signee had 15 points in the win. Next up, The Mobley Brothers and Rancho Christian.
Match-ups to look at:
6’5 G Tre Williams vs.6’5 G Dominick Harris
Two future D1 players will go head to head as Harris is committed to Gonzaga and Tre is heading to Minnesota.
6’10 C Maddy Sissoko vs. 7’0 C Evan Mobely
Maddy will go up against a projected future NBA player here.
6’10 F Tristan Enaurana vs. 6’10 F Isaiah Mobley
Tristan will have his hands full with this USC commit in Isaiah Mobley.
Don’t pay attention to the rankings in this one. Rancho Christian is a California power house team and Wasatch Academy will have their hands full. The talent on the floor is off the charts. Look for Mike Saunders to be a player that could be a difference maker as well as Richie Saunders who can light it up from the outside.
