Continue ReadingThe field is set for the California Tournament, which begins today and will run until Saturday evening’s championship game at 5:30 p.m. The tournament features an excellent group of Mid-Missouri teams that are in the statewide rankings. Top-seeded Southern Boone is undefeated and ranked No. 4 in Class 3. Warrensburg, the No. 2 seed, is 9-1 and ranked No. 8 in Class 4.
Moberly is the No. 3 seed and No. 4 seed Centralia is currently ranked No. 10 in Class 3. The fifth-seeded St. Elizabeth Hornets are currently 11-1 and ranked No. 5 in the Class 1 rankings. This makes for a very deep field.
