The 5’7 PG is lighting quick and attributes his success to his quickness. The 2020 PG is having a breakout year for St. Joeseph’s a small private catholic school that plays 2A. Sayveon previously attended Fremont High school but is glad he made the move. “I love it, everyone at St. Joe’s has been super welcoming”.
“I credit my success this year to my coaches and teammates for motivating me and putting me in the position to succeed and the fact that i’ve trained and prepared for it for so long.
Like most players and teams Sayveon and his teammates have aspirations to win state. “Me personally I feel like we could win state this year if we buckle down and continue to discipline ourselves and play how we know we can”.
Every team that makes a deep run in the playoffs usually has terrific point guard play. “I go hard on defense and make it difficult on the other team. I apply pressure on offense and I think I have a good court awareness. I know the game and when to distribute the ball and when to put points on the board and take over if I need to”.
Sayveon is getting a lot of exposure this year as he is playing at a high level. There are a lot of teams in 2A that are currently playing well but with a player like Sayveon who could take over he could be a game changer for St. Joeseph’s come playoff time.
