Lets take a glance at their game and what they do well. Here is this months edition of prospects that have the capability of playing collegiate basketball at various levels.
Corey Nickerson 6’8 PF / Houston Sterling / 2019
Athletic big that can guard the 3-5 position. He is a tenacious rebounder. Plays solid on ball defense. Has nice footwork in the paint. Plays above the rim a lot. Has good timing on blocking shots. Finishes at a high rate around the rim. His stat line for the season is 21.6 points per game, 13.7 rebounds per game, 2.2 steals per game, and 2.1 blocks per game. He is shooting 63% from the field and has 11 made trey balls on the season. He has tallied 17 double-doubles on the season out of 24 total games played. Would make a great addition to a D2/D3/JuCo university.
Bonke Maring 6’8 C / Cypress Springs / 2019
This big can stretch out the floor offensively. Can knock the down the long ball shooting 38% from behind the high school three point line. Has good footwork on the inside. Good post moves from the high low positions. Solid free throw shooter for his position shooting 72%. Active hands defensively as well as a good shot blocker. He is averaging 17.8 points per game, 9.8 rebounds per game, and 2.9 blocks per game. Solid JuCo prospect. @Bonkemaring
Ty Archibald 6’0 SG / Houston Christian / 2019
Though he only stands 6’0 he is a good shooter. He may lack in playmaking abilities, but he makes up for it with his long ball. He shoots from behind the arc at a high rate of 44%. Plays scrappy on ball defense. Great catch and shooter on the move and off of screens. He is averaging 14.5 points per game on the season. Would be a great fit for a D2/D3/NAIA school. @tydan_archibald
Dylan McCray 6’4 WG / Westfield / 2019
Dylan scores the ball well from each level on the court. Plays above the rim at times. Has a long wingspan. Great motor. Gets after 50/50 balls. Active hands defensively and can rebound in traffic over bigger defenders. He is averaging 12 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, and 2 steals per game. Would be a great addition for a JuCo. @officialwavey_
Noah Smith 6’8 PF / Dekaney / 2019
Talking about turning a corner. This prospect has truly been progressing each month. The long athletic defender is a rim protector. Tenacious rebounder. Scores well around the basket with a 10 foot and in rim package. The fact that he had to step into the leadership role really has changed his individual game. D3/JuCo type prospect.
Ronnie Chaney 6’6 SF / Angleton / 2019
Plays with a great motor. Physical wing that runs the floor like a deer. Plays above the rim at times. Shots at an a high rate around the rim. His shooting percentage from the floor is 62%. Grabs 6.5 rebounds per game while scoring 12 points per game. Has good defensive lateral movement. Active hands defensively and tries to block everything. He is averaging 1.6 steals per game and 1.4 blocks per game. Solid D3/NAIA/JuCo prospect. @Ronnie19134631
Broc Wisenbaker 6’6 PF / Concordia Lutheran / 2019
Broc is a glue guy on his team and would be a great glue guy at the next level also. Plays with a good motor. Has a high IQ on both ends of the floor. Knows where to be at all times. Sets really solid screens. Moves well without the ball. Has a decent post game. Can stretch out the floor. Takes smart shots offensively and steps up for the charge defensively. His stats on the season is 9 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. He is shooting 58% from the floor, 48% from behind the arc, and 85% from the foul line. Solid piece to have at the D2/D3/NAIA level. @broc_wisenbaker
Javontae Hopkins 5’11 PG / Fort Bend Travis / 2019
Has been carrying the load for his high school team this year with a junior standout injured. It has caused his play to elevate. He is making smart decisions with the ball. Has been scoring at a high rate. Though he stands 5’11 he will dunk on you. Plays with a great motor. Scrappy on ball defender. He is averaging 18.1 points per game and 2.5 assist per game. Solid steal for a D3/NAIA/JuCo program. @_luhhtaeee
Branden Holt 6’5 SF / Cypress Ranch / 2019
Plays with a good motor. Plays above the rim at all times. Has a decent shot on him, but thrives in the short corner game and inside the paint. Has good timing on blocking shots. Active hands defensively with good ball pressure. Plays to his athleticism as his strength. He is averaging 17 points per game and 9 rebounds per game. Would be a solid piece at the D2/D3/NAIA/JuCo level. @BrandenBaller
