Oklahoma Player of the Week 1/14
This past weekend was filled with great tournaments all across the state at every level. This time of year provides a great opportunity for great players to rise to the occasion. Here are your nominees for Oklahoma Player of the Week:
Trey Alexander 2021 Heritage Hall
Alexander has always scored at a high level but this past weekend he let the state know that he can dominate 6A competition as well.
Alexander scored 37 against Putnam City North then came back and gave PC West 31points.
This sophomore sensation had nothing to prove walking into the PCI but he was on a mission and walked away with a tournament championship and another MVP award.
Garrett Rouse 2019 Tuttle
Tuttle has produced some quality guards over the years and Rouse is another terrific player to wear their colors. Rouse may go under the radar but his numbers are gaining more and more attention.
The senior wing dominated the Weatherford tournament averaging 30 points per game and he lead Tuttle to a win over the undefeated #3 ranked John Marshall where he scored 28 points.
Rouse is a player to keep your eye on as the year progresses.
Drew Tennial 2019 Edmond Memorial
Tennial is one of the most versatile players in the state due to his ability to handle the ball and his feel for the game to know when to take over and when to be a playmaker.
The senior has talented teammates who can get the job done, but the Bulldogs go as far as Tennial takes them and he took them to the promise land this past weekend.
He dominated in every area of the game on both ends which lead his team to a Bishop McGuinness Classic Championship and he earned the MVP award.
Dylan Hahn 2019 Piedmont
Hahn is a certified scorer who can put up big numbers every time he steps on the floor. Hahn has an effortless jumper and he is crafty at getting to the lane and drawing fouls.
His skills were on full display this past weekend as he dominated the Bethany Classic and even blessed the audience with a 40 point performance to cap it off.
Rondel Walker 2020 PC West
Rondel Walker is one of the best players in the state and he showed that at the Putnam City Invitational. He dominated the offensive end of the floor with his ability to shoot from deep.
Walker scored 35 points against cross-town rival Putnam City and punched a ticked for him and the Patriots to play in the championship game.
There were D1 coaches walking all around the PC West gym and Rondel Walker was one of the main reasons why. He did not disappoint.
