MVP
Rondel Walker 2020 Putnam City West Point guard / 28 points
Rondel Walker got hot and didn’t turn back on Saturday against Kingston. Down to the Redskins by as many as 10, Walker caught fire and was nearly unstoppable in the scoring game. He was remarkable in the lane in picking up and-ones, knocking down three shots while drawing the foul. He attacked the Kingston defense repeatedly until he finally wore the Redskins down.
First Team
James Locke 2021 Carl Albert guard / 15 points
James Locke was a high point for Carl Albert in its loss to Northwest Classen. The sophomore nailed three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep hope alive for the Titans in the 15-point effort. He also gave the Titans great defensive effort to contribute to the narrowing of the gap.
Da’Lin Wiggins 2019 Northwest Classen wing / 14 points
Da’Lin Wiggins was a beast of a player to guard at the showcase. Against Carl Albert, Wiggins caught fire and helped to keep the Titans from coming back with a late push in the fourth. He was as explosive as anybody and gave the Knights energy for 32 minutes.
Kevin Overton 2022 Midwest City wing / 21 points
Kevin Overton shot the ball exceptionally-well, hitting five 3’s in that game, the most of anybody at the showcase. He shoots the ball very well from beyond the arc and helped Midwest City’s comeback bid that fell just a few points short. Overton has been pretty impressive all season and it definitely showed on Saturday.
Kalib Boone 2019 Tulsa Memorial forward / 26 points
Kalib Boone notched 26 in a high-scoring win over Midwest City. Really, there’s no other way to describe it than inside dominance. Boone was difficult to stop from getting a shot at the rim, no matter how you guarded him. His teammates played so well defensively, that he could get to the other end on a fast-break early and throw give a few dunks for the Chargers, just for good measure.
Jacob Germany 2019 Kingston forward / 30 points
Jacob Germany was straight-up unstoppable for Kingston. On top of notching the highest scoring performance of the day, the 6-foot-11 UTSA commit helped his team by pulling down rebounds and keeping hope alive for the Redskins off missed shots. He also was a pretty solid defender, but was forced to give up minutes due to foul trouble.
