Here are the Class B Teams of the Week:
Carrington
Don’t forget about the Cardinals. After a pair of losses in the Stutsman County Tourney in Jamestown dropped them to 3-5, the Cardinals have rattled off four wins in a row. The most impressive one is their most recent as they edged previously undefeated Rugby, 59-51 Saturday.
Grafton/St. Thomas
The Spoilers started the year with a lopsided loss to Four Winds/Minnewaukan and have since been one of the better teams in Class B. Grafton picked up a couple good wins last week, beating Larimore by 27 points before beating Cavalier 43-42 Friday. Dalton Albrecht is a go-to guy for the Spoilers and with him controlling the paint, they’ve always got a chance to win.
Lewis and Clark – Berthold
Berthold is 9-2 on the season and riding a three-game winning streak after a loss to Stanley at the beginning of January. The Bombers picked up two solid wins last week, beating Des Lacs Burlington by 10 Tuesday before ending the week with a 54-50 win over Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood. Bethold won’t be a favorite to win Region 6, but the Bombers will certainly be a factor and a tough out for anybody.
