Cavalier at Hillsboro/Central Valley – Thursday, Jan. 17
Cavalier is undefeated on the season but has yet to earn a true signature win (a 53-51 road win against St. John may represent the best one to date). The Tornadoes have a chance to earn a huge one Thursday when they head to Hillsboro to take on the defending Class B state champs. The Burros haven’t been dominant this year but they just earned one of the best wins of the season last week in beating Four Winds/Minnewaukan.
Central Cass at Richland – Friday, Jan. 18
Contenders in Region 1 square off Friday when Central Cass heads to Colfax to face Richland. The Colts are 6-1 on the season but haven’t faced most of the teams in their tier when it comes to talent and potential. They’ll get a good test from Central Cass which is better than its 4-4 record.
Flasher at Glen Ullin/Hebron – Saturday, Jan. 19
Contenders from Region 5 and Region 7 square off Saturday as Flasher heads to Glen Ullin to face the Bearcats. The Bulldogs are 9-1 on the season with their lone loss coming to Shiloh Christian and notable wins over Kidder County and Mott-Regent while the Bearcats are 10-2 with similarly good wins and losses to Shiloh and Bowman County.
