Here are some teams that had particularly good weeks:
West Fargo
The Packers did their part to stay in the thick of things for the top spot in the EDC with three wins last week. West Fargo opened with an impressive 22-point win over Grand Forks Red River. The Packers edged Wahpeton 63-62 to avoid an upset and came back in a big way by wrapping up the week with a 26-point shellacking of Fargo Shanley.
Minot
The Magicians played just one game last week but got a badly needed win, beating Bismarck 70-66. Jaxon Gunville outplayed Bismarck’s Joe Jahner, scoring 29 points while hitting nine 3-pointers. Alex Schimke added 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists. After a three-game losing streak, Minot picked up a win that’ll keep them in the mix for a top-three finish in the WDA.
Mandan
The Braves only played once last week as well, but they make the most of it, beating Bismarck Legacy 75-61 to notch their fourth-straight win. Mandan is sitting in second right now in the WDA. Elijah Klein and Trey Weist have been the catalysts for a high-powered Mandan offense all season long and they were good against the Sabers, combining for 38 points on 25 shots.
