Here are some teams that had particularly strong weeks:
Jamestown
The Blue Jays picked up three wins – two of which came over teams that will contend for state tournament spots – and in the process, earned the top ranking in Class A as the last undfeeated team left in the state. Jamestown beat Mandan Tuesday, 70-53 behind 17 points and four assists from Jared Kallenbach and 16 points and 12 rebounds from Mason Walters. The Blue Jays padded an impressive resume with a dominant win over Bismarck Century Saturday, getting 33 points and 17 rebounds from Walters plus 25 points from Boden Skunberg.
West Fargo
The Packers turned the EDC conference hunt into a three-team affair, knocking Fargo Davies off 78-72. Hunter Lyman had a monster game in that one and is emerging as one of the best bigs in the state. West Fargo went and blew out Grand Forks Central Saturday, showing no signs of a hangover from the big win Thursday.
Minot
The Magicians are in the mix for the second spot in the WDA and picked up three wins last week ahead of a critical four-game stretch. Minot beat turtle Mountain 80-71 Tuesday before blowing out Williston and Bismarck Legacy by a combined 55 points.
