Here are the teams of the week:
Bismarck Century
Century put together a great week, beating Minot Tuesday before finishing the week with an impressive win over Bismarck. The Patriots are playing good ball as of late (second half of Jamestown game notwithstanding) and while they still have some work to do to climb the standings in the WDA, they’ve got the collective talent and pedigree to be a team nobody wants to see late in the year.
West Fargo Sheyenne
The Mustangs earned a pair of solid wins last week to stay atop the EDC standings. Sheyenne opened the week with a high-scoring win over Fargo North before ending the week with a 68-61 win over Grand Forks Red River. The Mustangs have four games in which they should be heavily favored over the next two weeks, which means they could be riding a seven-game winning streak into the final few weeks of the regular season.
Fargo Davies
The Eagles bounced back nicely after suffering their first loss of the season, steamrolling Devils Lake and Fargo South last week to improve to 11-1 on the season. The 73-40 win over the Firebirds was the Eagles’ fifth win of at least 30 points. They should be considered the favorite to win the EDC still.
