Michel Dukes has come and said he will make a decision on Saturday afternoon where he will attending college next season. Dukes a point guard at First Baptist ran for over 8,500 yards and 117 career touchdowns for the Hurricanes. Clemson recently offered Dukes on the gridiron. What sport will Dukes decide on ? The Hurricanes prepare to play arch rival Porter Gaud tonight.
Jamal Edmonson recently went over 3,000 career points in a victory over Summerville. Edmonson sored 20 points in the 55-53 victory. The Swamp Foxes move to (15-6) on the season. Edmonson has now scored 3.019 points. Edmonson will play at Francis Marion University (SC) (NCAA D2) next season.
Edmonson scored 1,876 career points while playing for Northwood Academy for three seasons. Edmonson reclassified in the 8th grade and played 8-10 grades at Northwood Academy. Edmonson played 8th grade ball at Stall HS prior for Head Coach Jeff Emory. Edmonson averaged 15.7 ppg that season and scored 331 points for the Warriors.
Adam Frank will join forces with Caleb Leverette and Zach Baldinelli next season at Erskine College (SC) (NCAA D2). Frank is currently playing on the undefeated Shannon Forest Christian Academy Crusaders (19-0). Frank a guard is averaging 15.2 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists this season.
Leverette plays at South Aiken Baptist for his father/coach Chad Leverette. Leverette is currently averaging 25 ppg and 8.3 rebounds. Leverette has scored 1,437 points in his high school career. Erskine College is located in Due West, SC and coach by former Spartanburg Day Head Coach Lee Sartor.
Hayes Brush won’t have to travel far next season after he decided he will play at Bob Jones University in Greenville next season. Brush plays at nearby Riverside HS.
Trey Smith currently has 2,734 career points in his career at Landrum HS. Smith a left-handed guard has signed to play at Delta State (MS) (NCAA D2) next season. Smith is 5 points away from moving into #3 All-Time on the SCHSL Scoring List passing Devan Downey (2,738).
Three schools remain undefeated in the Palmetto State. Lexington HS (23-0), Clarendon Hall (21-0) and Shannon Forest Christian (19-0).
