After transferring over to South Robeson, he hasn’t necessarily put up the same type of numbers but has still shown a nice skillset. JUCO programs have already taken notice which is rightfully so as that is the route you have to take.
71st HS Forward Brion McLaurin: For programs that are looking for a stretch forward type of player, he’s a player that will be one you want to see. He can shoot the deep ball, rebounds the ball, and is a player that still has a nice amount of potential.
Farmville Central Forward Dyquavius Wilkins: About 6’5 with a long wingspan and nice athletic ability, he is a player that college coaches have been showing some interest in and rightfully so. He can finish above the rim, block shots and runs the floor well.
South Robeson HS Forward/Center Cameron Werrell: The 6’4-6’5 big man is one that we saw for the first time during the preseason at the West Brunswick HS jamboree. He can rebound the ball at a good rate, plays inside the paint and is a gifted passer. He’s another player that will most likely take the JC route so JC programs should be keeping an eye on him as well.
Roanoke Rapids Guard Paul Whitby: D2 and D3 programs have taken notice so far, after seeing him play in December, it’s no doubt that he can play well at either one of these levels depending on the fit and style . His numbers this season are pretty impressive as he is averaging over 25 PPG and 5 Rebounds to go along with it.
71st HS Wing Tre Bell: One of the most improved players over the past year, he has hit the ground running and maintained good performance throughout the first half of the season. About 6’3 with nice athletic ability and wingspan, he is a player that passes the eye test as far as a prospect. He’s picked up some JUCO and D3 heavy interest so far with more schools that will probably jump on board as time goes on.
