Several Players Reaching Career Milestones
The 2018-19 basketball season has gotten off to a strong start and several student athletes are reaching career milestones as the season wears on. Here are some players who have reached impressive accomplishments already this season.
The 1,000 Point Club
- Carlisle County Senior Trey Wilson
- Former Bullitt Central guard and current Teays Valley (West Virginia) Guard Mason Shifflett
- Mason County Senior Jaylen Lofton
- University Heights guard and future Mississippi State pitcher Drew McGowan
- Elliott County Senior Tanner Dickerson
- Boyd County Senior Blake Stewart
- Franklin County Senior Kyle Stivers
- George Rogers Clark Senior Brennan Canada
- Model’s Senior guard Adam Lewis-Durham
- Pikeville’s Senior guard Connor Roberts
- Robertson County Junior big man Alex Schalch
- Paintsville Junior Guard Seth Williams
- Frankfort Senior Point Guard Juanya Frank

- Newport Senior Point Guard Donnie Miller and Forward Tahj Harding both passed the 1,000 point mark this season.

The 2,000 Point Club
- Lexington Christian forward Kyle Rode surpassed 2,000 career points and became LCA’s all time leading scorer.
The 3,000 Point Club
- Pendleton County Senior Dontaie Allen eclipsed 3,000 points before tearing his ACL last month.
500 Rebounds:
- Collins Junior Point Guard Dayvion McKnight went over 500 career rebounds in December and is now the schools all-time leading rebounder.
- Ryle Senior Forward Vince Rankin now has over 600 career rebounds and is now the school’s all-time leading rebounder.
1,000 Rebounds
- Former Floyd Central forward (recently transferred to Wesley Christian) Brady Conn grabbed his 1,000th rebound recently.
Career Blocks Record
- Madison Central’s Isaiah Cozart broke the state blocks record in December.
Big Games
- Bath County Junior Guard Brooks Williams hit 9 three pointers in a 90-51 win over Russell. Those 9 threes were good enough to break the all time Bath County record for made 3s in a game.
- Union County Sophomore Kale Gaither broke the record for scoring at the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic with 91 points for the tournament
