KMAC Top Teams:
1. Highland 8-6 (8-1)
The biggest school in the KMAC, is at the front of the pack. Led by Clemson baseball commit, Mack Anglin, the Scots are just one loss in conference. Only loss in conference play coming to East Knox, they’re in prime position to win the league this season. A team that is led by Mack Anglin’s 15 PPG, the Scots have had a strength this season on the defensive side of the ball. Allowing under 40 points in six games. Look for Highland to continue to lead the way, as they hold a two game lead.
2. Centerburg 8-5 (6-3)
Centerburg is an improved team to me, that has had their ups and downs this season. The Trojans have been led by stud Sophomore Carter Jones, who averages 16 PPG for his team. Also, Hayden Hankinson has been getting it done, putting up about 13 points a game. With a favorable schedule ahead, look for Centerburg to continue to be in the hunt.
3. Fredericktown 8-5 (6-3)
Another improved team in my eyes, the Freddies have gotten to 6-3 in conference play. Nick Cunningham and Lincoln Cunningham are combining for close to 25 points a game for their team. The best win to date for the Freddies is East Knox, handing them a twenty point loss. It will be interesting to see if Fredericktown can pull an upset in their rematche with Highland.
4. East Knox 9-5 (6-3)
Overall, East Knox is having a strong year. The Bulldogs have a nice win over Highland, that teams in the KMAC have to respect when playing them. The Bulldogs are a smaller school, but also have wins over Tree Of Life and Northmor. Leading the way for East Knox is sophomore Weston Melick, who is putting together a nice season putting in 14 points a contest. If the Bulldogs can pick up a big win, watch out, as they could go on a bit of a run to end the season.
