The McDonald’s High School All-American Game Nominees were announced yesterday. The 42nd annual game will take place on March 27 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The final rosters will be announced on January 24 at 3PM. The rosters are chosen by a selection committee consisting of coaches and media. The McDonald’s High School All-American Game has been an incredible indicator of talent. 96% of the players taking part in the game went on to play Division 1 college basketball.
Michigan And The McDonald’s All-American Game
The state of Michigan has a deep tradition with the McDonald’s All-American Game. Some of the states legends and best players suited up for the game. In 1977 Magic Johnson was on the 1st McDonald’s All-American team. They played against an all star team from the east in a game called the Capital Classic. The game was played in front of 15,500 fans at Joe Louis Arena in 1986. In 1987 Mark Macon scored 14 points in an East win and was named the MVP. Chris Webber scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds enroute to a West victory and was named MVP in 1991.

Munson is an elite athlete. He plays above the rim on both ends and runs the floor with ease. Munson is an explosive finisher.
Ryan Wade (SG, Ann Arbor Skyline)
Wade is an explosive scorer who can get hot from behind the arc. He uses his length on defense to bottle up his man.
Romeo Weems (G/F, New Haven)
Weems can quite simply do it all. He’s an elite scorer, rebounder, defender, and ball handler. Weems is a leader and the type of star player that teammates love playing with.
